“Good humble guides, good support, good back up at remote areas, good team and flexible with group travel. Travelled with my son.”

Welcome to Kathmandu. Our team meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel, with a short trek briefing over dinner that evening.
A 145km drive north of the capital (7-8 hours), passing Trisuli Bazaar and Dhunche with Himalayan views opening up along the way, to the stone-house village of Syabru Bensi at 1,460m.
10.9km of walking (5-6 hours) following the Langtang River and crossing a suspension bridge into Langtang National Park. Keep an eye out for red pandas, monkeys and Himalayan black bears on the climb to Lama Hotel at 2,470m.
14.8km (5-6 hours) climbing through oak, maple, rhododendron and hemlock forest. Langtang Lirung comes into view before you reach the Tamang village of Langtang at 3,550m.
A shorter 6.8km day but a demanding one, passing the tree line and climbing a glacial moraine for views of the icefall. At Kyanjin Gompa (3,800m) you can visit the monastery and the village yak-cheese factory, with an optional afternoon hike up Kyanjin Ri.
The highest day of the trek. Leaving before dawn, you climb Chorka Ri at 4,850m for sunrise over the surrounding peaks and glaciers, then descend back to Kyanjin Gompa to rest.
The descent begins - 21km (6-7 hours) back down through the forest, with more chances to spot the wildlife and plant life you passed on the way up.
10.9km (5-6 hours) retracing the trail downhill past Paira Lodge. Easier walking, and the valley views are at their best looking back the way you came.
The 145km return drive to the capital (7-8 hours) by shared jeep or bus, leaving time for sightseeing and a celebratory dinner in town.
Free time for breakfast and last-minute shopping before we transfer you to Kathmandu International Airport for your flight home.

60-SECOND NEPAL QUIZ
Enquiring costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Here's exactly what happens next.
Best: Spring / Autumn
Graded Moderate. Walking days run roughly five to eight hours, and the highest point is 4,850m on the Chorka Ri climb, so good general fitness matters more than prior trekking experience.
The full itinerary runs 10 Days, including the drive each way between Kathmandu and Syabru Bensi and a day at altitude around Kyanjin Gompa.
February to May and September to December. The monsoon brings heavy rain and poor visibility, and winter can be very cold at Kyanjin Gompa.
Yes - a Langtang National Park entrance permit, which we arrange for you before you leave Kathmandu.
Be prepared for changing Himalayan conditions. Here are the essential items we recommend bringing for your trek.
Good ankle support and grip for rocky, uneven trails.
Warmth for cold mornings, evenings and high-altitude nights.
Rated for sub-zero temperatures at teahouse altitudes.
Take pressure off your knees on long descents.
A daypack for essentials you'll want on the trail.
For pre-dawn starts and teahouses without steady power.
Reusable and insulated, so it won't freeze overnight.
UV protection against strong high-altitude glare.
